Togo Top News: ST DIGITAL launches its 100% African Cloud service offering in Togo
ST DIGITAL, Fabrice ADZRAKOU

The digital transformation company ST DIGITAL launched on 17 October in Lomé "Cloud 100% africain", a local digital solution for businesses and individuals in Africa. This new platform, the first of its kind to be entirely African, was presented to the public and positions itself as an essential player in digital transformation in Africa.

In line with its mission of digital transformation in Africa, ST DIGITAL is innovating once again with the launch of the first 100% African Cloud in Togo. This initiative addresses the challenges of a rapidly growing digital ecosystem by making available a data protection and backup service for African data. In front of the many guests who made the journey — the majority of whom are players in the digital sector — the General Manager of ST DIGITAL West Africa and the CEO of the company successively presented the advantages of this digital tool and the opportunities it offers to African enterprises.

Cloudstore.africa allows businesses to host their data on local servers (VPS), thereby offering better latency and resilience, especially in the event of infrastructure disruptions such as undersea fibre optic cables. Through this service, users can also quickly obtain a domain name with the local extension of Togo such as .tg . Beyond this aspect, cloudstore.africa promotes secure and affordable access to Cloud services while strengthening the continent's digital sovereignty. Professional email addresses are also offered. Digital sovereignty is a major asset of this platform, which will serve as a genuine shield against the risks of hacking and surveillance of African data by foreign entities.

The General Director of ST DIGITAL West Africa, Justine ADEBIYI, highlights the compelling reasons for African businesses to choose a 100% African cloud: "For the sovereignty of our companies, our data must be stored locally and remain available. Hence the idea of creating a 100% African cloud product — meaning data is stored in the various countries where we are located, secured according to internationally recognised standards. And we guarantee information availability at nearly 100%. Compared to other Cloud providers that store our data in locations we neither know nor control," she stated.

ST DIGITAL offers even better value, as according to the company, services are available at an affordable and flexible cost and can be obtained through local payment methods and in local currency.

Whether for SMEs, startups or large enterprises, these services aim to facilitate and secure their digital transition.

The CEO of ST DIGITAL, Anthony SAME, reassures potential clients of his group regarding the reliability and protection of their data: "Unlike large corporations, we will not commercialise this data. The idea is to provide those who use our services with full governance over their data. We are different in our approach in that we are not interested in the content of the data. The key focus of the project is security, and to achieve this, a suitable physical infrastructure is required — that is, a data center with the highest level of performance. In Togo, we are fortunate that the government has invested in a data center that is a true gem. We therefore have the right data center. On the other aspect — logical security — we hold the highest levels of certification," explained the chief executive of the innovative company.

Present in several African countries, ST DIGITAL is a pan-African company specialising in digital transformation. Its Tier-3 certified Datacenters guarantee digital sovereignty, maximum reliability and security for hosted data.
