Businesses ST Digitaland RHOPEN Labs today announce the official launch of SOC4AFRICA, the first integrated Security Operations Centre (SOC) offering designed by and for Africa. This strategic initiative aims to strengthen the continent's digital sovereignty by making high-level, locally contextualised and managed cyber defence accessible.
A strong response to the continent's cyber challenges
Africa is experiencing an explosion of cyberattacks, yet remains significantly under-equipped to face these threats. African organisations are often dependent on imported solutions that are costly, poorly adapted, and sometimes opaque.
SOC4AFRICA provides a concrete and ambitious response: a sovereign, scalable, and mutualized solution combining local infrastructure, advanced open-source cybersecurity tools, and on-the-ground expertise.
For Anthony SAME, CEO of ST Digital, "With SOC4AFRICA, our ambition is to move Africa from cyber dependency to active sovereignty."
A strategic African partnership
SOC4AFRICA was born from the collaboration between two African technology players:
ST Digital, a specialist in digital infrastructure and datacenter operator across several African countries, provides secure hosting, availability, and proximity of services;
RHOPEN Labs, pioneer in cyberscoring and operational security, provides SOC Labs technology, analysis, monitoring and remediation tools, as well as cyber governance and expert support.
"This technical and commercial alliance demonstrates that Africa can produce robust, sovereign and competitive solutions," according to François-Xavier DJIMGOU, President of RHOPEN Labs.
Two options to cover all needs
The SOC4AFRICA offering comes in two formats:
SOC as a Service: for businesses and public administrations wishing to outsource monitoring and incident response, through a flexible and scalable subscription model.
Build Your Own SOC: for organisations wishing to establish their own SOC, with comprehensive support from design to deployment.
A press conference in an operational SOC
On the occasion of this launch, a press conference was held in one of the Security Operations Centres already set up by the partners. It was an opportunity to present the vision, the features of the SOC4AFRICA solution, the use cases, as well as the subscription and partnership terms.
