On 19 November 2024, ST DIGITAL, pan-African leader in digital transformation in Africa, announced the laying of the foundation stone of its new Tier 3 datacenter in Grand-Bassam. The construction launch ceremony will take place on 22 November 2024 and will mark a significant milestone for the digital sovereignty of Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa.
Scheduled to be operational by the end of the first quarter of 2025, this datacenter will meet the most stringent international standards in terms of availability, security and redundancy. In line with sustainable development objectives, it will incorporate eco-responsible solutions, optimising energy efficiency and resource management.
The datacenter will offer a range of services tailored to the needs of African businesses and public administrations, including:
- Private Datacenter: Secure rooms for specific requirements.
- Fiber optic landing station: Reception and interconnection of submarine cables for improved connectivity.

- Modular colocation space: Flexible options for equipment hosting.

This project is part of ST DIGITAL's "100% African Cloud" initiative, aimed at reducing dependence on foreign infrastructure, offering competitive local solutions, and stimulating technological innovation across the continent. In Côte d'Ivoire, it will contribute to strengthening the economic attractiveness of Grand-Bassam as a technology hub, while creating opportunities for local businesses and startups.
