The Minister of the Digital Economy of Gabon, Jean Pierre DOUKAGA KASSA, visited the premises of ST Digital in Libreville this morning, April 12, 2022, a digital services company. This visit took place as part of a tour of incubators and national digital players in Gabon.
The Minister and his delegation were welcomed by the General Manager of ST Digital in Gabon and her team, Laika Mba. Ms Mba took advantage of the Minister's visit to present ST Digital's expertise and how it supports Gabonese companies in their digital transformation on a daily basis.
The 100% African cloud
ST Digital operates the first neutral Tier 3 construction datacenter in Central Africa. The Minister of the Digital Economy and his delegation were able to view images of this datacenter — a next-generation cloud infrastructure capable of supporting the Gabonese digital ecosystem across all its projects.
The digital sector: a growth driver for the Gabonese economy
The digital sector represents an important growth driver for the Gabonese economy, accounting for 5% of Gross Domestic Product. Since 2012, Gabon has been investing massively in the construction of a high-speed fibre optic network. Beyond a project whose purpose is to interconnect all Central African countries, it also aims to equip Gabon with a high-performance communications network. In this context, numerous initiatives have emerged, including ST Digital, whose mission is to support Gabonese businesses in their digital transformation projects.
