The project aimed to replace an obsolete solution (TMG) with FortiProxy, in order to ensure enhanced performance, centralised management and optimised data security.
APPROACH & SOLUTIONS
- Infrastructure Deployment: Installation and configuration of the FortiProxy virtual machine (FPRXY-VM01) in the hypervisor. Import of existing TMG rules and configuration. Initialization of network interfaces and implementation of basic routing.
- Advanced Configuration: Configuration of Explicit Proxy mode. Performance optimisation through caching best practices. Installation of certificates (CA and specific certificates). Activation and management of FortiProxy licences. Creation of network objects, services, and required time schedules. Configuration of filtering profiles (categorisation and customisation).
