ST Digital speaks about Cloud Services at the Central Africa business forum organised by Business France in Paris

The Chief Executive Officer and founder of the ST DIGITAL Group, Anthony Samé, is participating in the Central Africa Business Forum held in Paris on 28 and 29 June 2022. The forum is organised by Business France.

As part of this forum, Anthony Samé participated in the expert panel Technologies & Digital on the theme: The tech boom in a region with access and infrastructure still under development. He was joined by

· Désiré-Cashmir KOLONGELE EBERANDE, Minister of Digital Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo

· Luc MISSIDIMBAZI, Advisor, Head of the Department of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs of the Prime Minister, Head of Government Congo Brazzaville

· Joëlle NKOA, Inspector at the General Directorate, CAMTEL


From Anthony Samé's presentation, we can note that ST Digital is a pan-African company that has deployed one of the first Neutral Data Centers in the sub-region with an occupancy rate of 35% after one year of operation: "After one year of operation, the Douala DC of ST DIGITAL has an occupancy rate of 35%" he explained to the audience.

Regarding the challenges posed by the deployment of Cloud activities in the region, the CEO of ST Digital notes that "we face issues at the last mile level, in the regulatory environment and in terms of energy availability".

However, he remains confident about the future of cloud services: "There is a bright future for a 100% African Cloud".
