During this webinar, we demonstrated how to manage an extended hybrid and multicloud environment.
Windows Server is the platform for building application infrastructure, networks, and connected web services. As a Windows Server administrator, you contribute to achieving your organization's objectives by ensuring the security, availability, and flexibility of the infrastructure. Windows Server has been the foundation of the Microsoft ecosystem and continues today to power the hybrid cloud network.
Hybrid and multicloud connectivity, container hosting, and hyperconverged infrastructure can accelerate your strategy. However, the following technical considerations must be included in your overall Cloud strategy and adoption plan.
How will you:
- Ensuring governance, management and compliance of hybrid and multicloud scenarios?
- Consistently manage identity and security?
- Manage and govern data securely?
- Securely transferring data in distributed environments?
- Integrate disparate environments?
Azure tools for your hybrid and multicloud strategy
Hybrid and multicloud planning efforts include migration efforts for resources beyond virtual machines and PaaS services, thereby expanding the availability of form factors to extend the benefits of innovation beyond the private cloud to any location. Azure Arc and Azure Stack drive digital transformation efforts as part of unified operations and management across private cloud, public cloud and the edge.
Azure Stack is a hardware solution that allows you to run an Azure environment on-premises and at the edge. As Azure Stack uses an integrated system with local cloud services via Azure Stack Hub, or runs edge compute workloads with a cloud-managed appliance via Azure Stack Edge, retaining local resources is no longer an obstacle to extending the benefits of the cloud locally or at the edge.
Azure Arc is a software solution that provides an enterprise control plane that manages all your digital resources across different environments by projecting your on-premises and other cloud resources into Azure, extending simplified management, faster application development and consistent Azure services to any infrastructure, wherever you are.
A hybrid and multicloud strategy that follows a unified operations approach, integrates unified visibility of on-premises resources into Azure Arc and can facilitate migration efforts to Azure, by extending and projecting resources into Azure as first-class citizens. Azure Arc implements unified cloud operations management across on-premises, multicloud and edge environments and enables the use of Azure services anywhere. Thus, migration efforts can standardise the management and governance of your entire digital estate, directly from Azure.
In addition to the presentation, several demos on Azure enabled participants to gain further insight into how to manage their hybrid and multicloud environment.
At the end of the presentation, participants were able to ask several questions, notably regarding Windows Admin Center
What security measures are in place for secure administration within a browser (given that the browser is most commonly used for attacks)?
How are certificates generated from the browser on Windows Admin Center?
During this webinar, we had the participation of several Directors from the IT, banking, and administrative sectors who were interested in this highly relevant and beneficial topic.
Our Senior Consultant presenting this webinar had the pleasure of providing maximum clarification and proposals to our participants on this subject.
