Through the platform www.cloudstore.africa, it will now be possible to create a professional email address, purchase a domain name instantly, host websites in Cameroun, or store data locally at a lower cost.

The platform was officially launched on Tuesday, 05 December 2023. Initiated and designed by ST Digital, www.cloudstore.africa offers individuals, businesses, and the public sector 4 cloud products. Both a platform and a website, this 100% African cloud offers emails, web hosting in Cameroun, virtual servers, and domain name registration at a lower cost. "This platform makes it possible to have email inboxes on the CloudStore.africa and your emails stored in Cameroun in one of our Datacenters. This allows you to have an email address in .cm. and therefore, if you call yourself for example Ahanda, your email address will bear your name and can be jeanfrancis@ahanda.cm », says the CEO of ST DIGITAL , Antony SAME.

The second service offered is web hosting in Cameroun, directly through the local network of national operators, with the aim of enhancing data security. ST Digital now also offers the possibility of having a virtual server on which those in need can deploy their applications and store their data without having to physically purchase a server. The fourth service is domain names. It will now be very easy to purchase a .cm domain name by visiting www.cloudstore.africa. The service will be available immediately after payment, which can be made via Mobile Money or credit card.

Regarding value for money, pricing ranges from start-up targets to large enterprises. It is thus possible to host a website for 4,900 FCFA per month, or to have an email address for 990 FCFA per month. "Beyond the cloud service, our Datacenter, the first independent and neutral Tier 3 datacenter in Cameroun, also enables the availability of high-performance servers for very specific uses, for banks, for the State or for the services of large companies," states the CEO of ST Digital.

"This is very important in terms of digital sovereignty. These are essential technical and digital services for data sovereignty and digital sovereignty." Anthony SAME, CEO ST DIGITAL.

These are innovations with significant stakes. "It is very important in terms of digital sovereignty. These are essential technical and digital services for data sovereignty and digital sovereignty," notes Antony SAME, who goes on to list the advantages of this African cloud. "The first added value is that data is stored in Cameroun. It is important to be part of the Cameroonian digital ecosystem, first for technical reasons, because it puts an end to the problem of international optical fibre cuts, since we will have a local internet with better latency. There are also regulatory and legal reasons because there is a new legal framework in Cameroun. It is a law on personal data management that encourages the local availability of data," elaborates Antony SAME.
