First launched in 2002, this day of celebration aims to encourage people to use their creativity and unleash their full creative potential throughout the year, whether at home, at work, or in their other activities.
Two years ago, the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) officially declared 21 April World Creativity and Innovation Day, with the support of 80 countries. The UN thus recognised the importance of creativity and innovation in the progress made over the centuries, recent decades, and even the last 12 months, as well as the role they can play in achieving the sustainable development goals.
