PRESS RELEASE

ST Digital, the new Cloud leader in Africa…

This is unprecedented. ST DIGITAL, a digital services company, is about to join the select circle of Cloud service providers. Indeed, the pan-African group recently announced on its website and social media platforms the upcoming launch of its CLOUD & DATACENTER SERVICES offering. An event scheduled for 22 January in Douala and 27 January 2020 in Yaoundé. With this launch, the company marks a new milestone in the growth of the group, which has set itself only one limit: the sky.

Over 3 years, ST Digital has continuously gained considerable market share across West and Central Africa in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving environment. Present in Cameroun, Congo, Togo, Bénin, Gabon, and Côte d'Ivoire, the group has now chosen to place its bet on the Cloud. The executive committee has spent a year discreetly finalising the acquisition of a Tier-3 constructed Datacenter. A (re)affirmed vision towards Cloud Services.

This is to say that with the acquisition of a Datacenter, ST DIGITAL definitively positions itself as a major player in the digital sector in Africa and brings the question of African data sovereignty back to the forefront. ST DIGITAL's ambition for this new service offering is articulated around three fundamental pillars: the security, reliability and high availability of data hosted in its Cloud infrastructure.

ST DIGITAL, already a MICROSOFT partner as a CLOUD SOLUTION PROVIDER (CSP), becomes the first independent operator in Central Africa to operate a TIER 3 designed DATACENTER to support the transformation of African businesses. It will exclusively provide infrastructure and application hosting services to meet the needs of availability, security, maintenance and data sustainability. For Anthony SAME, founding CEO of ST Digital, "It is now possible to host data and applications with an African, neutral, flexible and professional service provider". This is, according to this former Microsoft executive, the very reason for ST Digital's existence.

Since its inception, the group has set itself the mission of building a solution based on a high level of execution, while remaining as close as possible to the needs of African businesses and government administrations. ST Digital was built around its core missions of Training, Integration, and Digital Transformation Consulting. To support this vision, ST DIGITAL has surrounded itself with globally recognised partners including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Hub Forum, Fortinet… Furthermore, the group has established its own internal training centre, "STD University", in order to identify the best African talent, train them, and integrate the most promising into the group. This initiative earned it recognition and inclusion in the prestigious Stanford Seed University programme.

The group is currently preparing a fundraising round to move faster and further: developing its service offering, expanding its territorial presence and accelerating its market penetration. It has engaged the services of the mergers-acquisitions and fundraising advisory firm Sène & Cie to oversee this transaction.
