Previously, the use of the service was only possible with MTR (Microsoft Teams Room) room equipment based on a Windows operating system; it is now possible to also support Android MTR rooms in the Microsoft Teams Room Pro management portal.
You can now enrol Android MTR devices and touch consoles, which will appear on the Rooms page as distinct device types.
Here are the various available features:
Signage
Devices are displayed as healthy/unhealthy on the Parts page based on the connectivity signal.

Settings
The following properties are visible under the Settings tab of the Space panel:
- MTR Android: Device ID, brand, model, serial number, IP address, MTR application version, firmware version, OEM agent version, administration agent version, company portal application version.
- Touch console: device ID, brand, model, serial number, IP address, MTR application version, firmware version, OEM agent version, administration agent version, company portal application version
Actions
- Remote restarts for MTR Android and Touch Console.
- Remote log collection for MTR Android and Touch Console (with log history)
Reports
- The usage report will include Android MTR data. Touch consoles are not part of the report as they are used in conjunction with Android MTR
- Inventory management will include MTR Android and touch consoles. They are not in the standards and planning because they have no peripherals according to the design.
Microsoft announces the upcoming availability of new features to be deployed for Teams Rooms on Android in the "Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management" portal in the coming months.
